About the Blog
Blogging Green
Welcome to Blogging Green, my blog which about and intended to declare my views on politics, sustainable development and liberty; and participate in the ongoing online debate within the community of Green bloggers. My blog won’t focus exclusively on only Green issues, but will also touch on other issues of interest to me, such as European integration and linguistics.
My Views
Human society is trying to expand and consume infinitely within a limited ecosystem. Our pollution, destruction and consumption of our planet is endangering not only our quality of life, but life itself. Our present means of existence go beyond the abilities of the Earth to sustain us, in face we consume natural resources 1.3 times faster than they are produced. The development of a socially and ecologically sustainable economy and society must therefore be our fundamental objective. For this reason, I am a member of the Greens.
Other issues of great importance to me are human rights; social, gender and sexual equality; direct, fair, and participatory democracy; and the development of a truly united and fair Europe. Freedom is also greatly important. I personally believe that God created me and every person that exists or has existed, that he created us free, with a free mind and conscience that we are able to make our own decisions in almost any respect, and lead our lives as we wish, and that he created us all equally. Any differences that we may perceive between people of different races, nationalities or genders, are purely aesthetic and in practice, irrelevant. Our individual freedoms and rights come second only to the rights of the wider community, but that our basic human rights are inviolable. I believe that God respects our freedom, that He in fact holds our freedom as the highest principle that exists within a human being, asides from life itself.

Hi,
I came across your blog on the Internet and wondered if you would be interested in a link exchange with our site – The Green Providers Directory.
We are a not-for-profit, green directory founded on ethical principles, providing links to renewable energy suppliers, organic health and beauty products, fair trade clothing, gifts and household goods, ethical careers and a wide range of services including carbon offsetting, sustainable building, lift sharing and paper recycling.
We also provide news, updates and blogs on green issues, recycling, energy efficiency and climate change.
Our site is listed in The Guardian’s environmental section and on green.tv, and we are members of Ethical Junction. As we have a Google pagerank of 5 we should be able to generate some useful traffic to your site.
Please let me know if this would be of interest.
Kind regards,
Dr. Gary Robertshaw
